I have had these symptoms almost all of my life, and then developed endometriosis and hypothyroidism. nond of the doctors I saw told me this might be a condition I could have. And the worst part is my endo doctor tried to push 2 types of progestin birth control to manage my endo and I refused. It turns out people with MCAS are extremely sensitive to progestin. I’m not surprised because when I was on birth control over 6 years ago I bleed non stop for a whole year before I couldn’t take it and just got the implant taken out. I cant go through that again . 0 Login to Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Debbieyd 0 Questions 2 Answers 0 Best Answers 24 Points View Profile Debbieyd Added an answer on October 14, 2019 at 7:21 pm Hi, yes I have been formally diagnosed with HIT by Professor Seneviratne an Immunology and Allergy Consultant. Also, MCAD / MCAS was ruled out. As I understand it the difference between HIT and MCAS is in the physical cause, but the symptoms and severity of the symptoms are often the same. 0 Login to Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerCancel replyYou must login or register to add a new answer.
